Okay I'm an mma fighter and I've been in the wrong weight cla*s since I've started (LHW/HW). Well I wanting to drop to middle weight (185ish) before I fight again. That will be about 50lbs to cut. I've always been big 300+ at one time so I've dropped a good chunk of weight. What I was wondering was everyone's choice on diets for a combat athlete. I have had weight loss success with atkins based diets but I feel real drained and my training suffered.

I'm a mma fighter. I enjoy the front headlock position. Other then a basic head snap or catching it off a failed shot does anyone have any suggestions on obtaining the position. Maybe even some training tips to make my headsnap stronger.
Thanks

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a weight training rotine designed for mma. Should a workout be total body 3x a week. or an up body lower body spilt. Also what kind exercises are best.

I'm getting ready for an MMA fight and my opponent is a tall one. I'm 5'10 225 lbs and he is 6'3 225lbs. He is a kickboxer mainly and I'm more of a wrestler. I need some advice of covering some ground to get into takedown range without eating too much leather. Also if anyone has any gameplan advice I could possibly use. I have a little over a month to get ready.

One of these types of chokes was used, I think, in Pride 10 by Ricco Rodriguez. He covered Giant Ochiai mouth and nose with his chest until he tapped. It seemed effective.

I have had knee problems ever since high school wrestling. I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations on exercises for the knee to strengthen up the ligaments to prevent any further damage. Also if anyone has any other ideas such as supplements.
