Happy New Year to the TXMMA community from Unlimited Fighting Options / Team TABMOC in San Antonio!
I wanted to make a quick announcement regarding our groups’ recent ATG (Affiliate Training Gym) status with Straight Blast Gym International under Regional Directors Adam and Rory Singer. See link.
www.straightblastgym.com/us_gyms.htm#South
You can check out our site (major update coming in March!) and the SBGi site:
www.tabmoc.com
www.straightblastgym.com
What does this ATG status mean, well it basically gives everyone a snap shot of what we’re about and how we train. I’m not going to reinvent the wheel so here’s an excerpt from the SBG forum on the Underground:
www.mma.tv/TUF/index.cfm?ac=SetMasterFrame&FID=167&PID=17
“Straight Blast Gym International (SBGi) has evolved to become one of the most innovative and influential forces in modern martial arts. Founded on the principle of “aliveness” – a performance-based approach that emphasizes experience over preconception – SBGi is an organization dedicated to providing fun, functional and performance based training to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.”
“Its worldwide pioneering staff of coaches, instructors, affiliates, and members has enabled SBGi to utilize and adapt proven, living delivery systems such as MMA, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, judo, Muay Thai, and wrestling to address a diverse range of applications and interests ranging from self-defense, sport, recreation, and fitness to specialized units, agencies and services.”
“Ultimately, the goal of aliveness as embodied across the entire SBGi curriculum is to foster human freedom, wellness, creativity, and development in a safe, fun, and rewarding environment. Please feel free to join the forum, share and contribute in this spirit.”
If you like what you see on the links provided please contact us to discuss joining our training group. With all due respect, please read through our home page and some of the content of the SBGi page before requesting additional info on our group.
Best wishes to all your aspirations in the New Year!
