(Edited- from Vince) Hi folks, the www.rmata.com website if finally up and running and we have new schools joining the a*sociation regularly. Several members and a*sociates know each other, but there are lots of new faces popping us. A lot of positive feedback is pouring in about this a*sociation. It is founded on the idea that people who are into realistic mixed martial arts training methods will want to come together to train and learn what really works. We have some of the best martial artists in the world in our a*sociation. We are happy to welcome good, moral, honest people into the a*sociation; and we have many of them with us. So while your here give an intro with some of the basics about yourself and your students, teachers, etc. I'd start first but that info is already in the "Board" link on the site. Vince (Johnny, sorry I had to edit your thread and put the above text here. The "sign in" thread that I created was accidently locked so nobody else could reply to it. Below is your original post on this thread. Thanks.) Johnny Guerrero (tac364@yahoo.com) New Braunfels, Texas Law Enforcement Officer, Narcotics Investigator, SWAT Team Member, DT Instructor, SPEAR Instructor, Less-lethal Operator/Instructor, Thermograper Green belt in Soryu Karate, lately training in Mixed Martial Arts through seminars with Vincent Fields Bowhunting, fishing, spending time with family. Participate in earning rank with the RMATA, competing in local competitions and establishing a DT program for my agency. www.txmma.comwww.mma.tvwww.tonyblauer.com

Bill is doing a huge part in helping the RMATA along with the newsletter and imput on many other things.
Rex, I was in Perth once. I actually went to Australia 7 times back in 96 and 97. My favorite place was Sidney and my least favorite was Cairns (too many US military people there). I met a sheila there that actually flew over to pursue things... but it didnt work out.
I hope to get to visit again someday... of all the countries I've been to (10) Australia was my favorite.

Hi everyone,
My name is Joe Gonzales. I live in Northwest Indiana, approximately 35 miles southeast of Chicago, IL.
I earn my living as a police officer, K-9 handler, police academy and DT instructor.
I have studied traditional Chinese martial arts since I was four years old. I began studying BJJ in 2000, Sambo in 2001 and Israeli martial arts in 2002.
I also own/run Integrated Combat Systems, a small progressive MA club. Unfortunately, my work schedule doesn't allow me to run my club full-time, so I train/teach as time allows.
I look forward to meeting other members of the RMATA at camps and seminars in the future.

REAL Name: not Samantha, it's Suzanne (Suze). I live in Arizona. I have loved Martial Arts my entire life, movies, books, magazine, etc. but only started training myself 7 years ago.
I started with Taekwondo, I earned a 1st degree black belt. I stopped TMA's 3 years ago and began training with a group of Vale Tudo style guys. We box, full contact kickbox, elbows, knees, and takedowns to submission. I also have been rolling with a group of BJJ'ers that have earned brown & purple belts from Fabio Santos out of San Diego. One of them has just opened a BJJ school here in Yuma.
I have had the honor of training with Vince, and although it was only once, it only takes once to see that he is an amazing teacher and fighter. I'm lucky to have met him.
Glad to be here. Oh, I am a single mom of two children 13 & 17. I just completed my LATE education and have earned an A.A.S. Microcomputer Applications, and a B.B.A. Management.

Fogster,
Great to have you here man.
Suz,
It is great to have you here on this board! I look forward to your contributions/ discussions. Congrats on finishing school.
When I taught at your school in Yuma a few years ago, did you get any pictures of it? If so you should e-mail me a few and I'll post them on the website.

Hi Misery, great to have you here. I've always wanted to visit Alaska. Preferably in the summer time and go motorcycling up there.
I'm guessing that you train with a Ruas affiliate school up there? Does your school have a website? I have trained with Marco before in Southern California. What really stands out in my mind about him is his surprising strength for his size and his unlimited cardio.

I train with a student of a student of Ruas's. Our group dosent have a website or anything as its not really done in a school or dojo... hell the guy dosent even charge us for training, he just does it for fun. One thing I really like about the cla*s is the cross training. One day we will roll jiu jitsu rules, next day its kick-boxing.
A couple of the guys in the cla*s are fighting in the Alaska Fighting Championships
